Tasting Note:
Made from 30-year old vines this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon was rigid and unevolved the day I tasted it even though its a late release from the impressive 1998 vintage. It possesses great fruit pure creme de cassis notes excellent purity and a medium-bodied backward style reminiscent of a barrel sample. The wood is nicely integrated and the wine is long as well as promising. I would not be surprised to see it merit a 90-point score in 3-4 years. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2016. Source: Wine Advocate
